BIO AND INTRO
Using SATIRE, SILLINESS and unscripted audience SYMPATHY, Kirt–a former evangelical Christian and pastor, US Army combat veteran, seasoned social worker, and allie and advocate for social justice–first exposes ignorant, fearful, greedy, and bigoted ideologies and behaviors (‘norms’) expressed in and through organized religion, class capitalism (modern feudalism), nationalism, and popular culture.
Using a unique mix of humor, candid thoughts and questions, and suprising and unscripted compassion, Kirt goes on to help the audience explore what an alternative way of living could look like marked by radical tolerance, generosity, empathy, compassion, equity, reconciliation, and reparation.
And he throws in a dash of absurdism to remind us of how laughably little we know and how small we are in the grand scope of the universe.
